something light after all looks what's following! try a roulade of smoked salmon, or a chunky pate. Or line little patty tins with filo pastry and put a cream cheese filling in it, top with cranberry sauce..yummy! Merry Chrimbo

I had trouble with this so I have decided to make a simple butternut squash soup. I also got in some smoked salmon and soft cheese that can be served with a few leaves and oatcakes if I decide I have too much else to do on the day, they will be a fine starter.

Depends on what food you like really, i usually have seafood, Lobster cut in half with a nice flavoured butter on top and grilled for a few mins served with salad, or Prawn Cocktail, shredded lettuce with prawns and an apple cut into chunks mixed through with with a seafood sauce and a sprinkle of paprika for decoration, or if you dont like seafood you could have a lovely hearty soup, hope this helps, Merry Christmas x
