Every animals' temperature varies slightly during the course of the day and there is a normal range for each animal's temperature. If your dog's temperature is raised this could simply be a normal reaction to the environment -for instance after a drive in the car or a run on the beach it would be natural for the temperature to come up. The temperature can also rise if your dog is ill -this is usually because of an infection but other things can also cause the temperature to come up. If your dog seems unwell (whether or not he has a temperature), you should consult your vet. Keeping your dog in a cool place and making sure he has plenty of water available will help. NEVER give your dog any drug such as paracetamol without your vet's advice.
