Right, apparently there's some sort of bug in the software that means once you've turned the option off, there's no way of turning it on again. What you need to do, apparently, is: 1. turn off the phone and remove the SIM card. 2. Put in someone else's SIM card, and turn the phone on and go through setup. 3. Go to Settings -> Show my Number and check it's on DEFAULT. 4. Turn off the phone, and put in your own SIM card. Go through Setup again. Apparently that resets the setting and your number should come up when you call people. It's a bit of a pain, and I imagine Samsung are working on a software update for it, but for now it seems that's the only way around it. Do it at your own risk, I haven't been able to test it myself. I need help! I have just got my G600 and i have put my own pic on the homepage as my wallpaper. but whats really annoying is that I can not find away to remove to change the location of the "Network" name which sits rite in at the top of the screen!! really annoying. Can anyone help me with this? if its possible to remove this or even just relocate it to somewhere else on the screen?? Thanks

Your manual is here: http://mobileguide.o2.co.uk/device-manuals/samsungg600eng.pdf although I haven't got access to a G600 so can't try it out for myself. If it is possible, it'll be under Display Settings, although I'm sure I've tried to shift it on a Nokia and it was impossible. Companies like you to know who you're paying your money to... let me know how you get on if you get it fixed. Dan @ VJ

Hey Dan, hmm, unfortunatly Settings>Display there is an option for Text, but it seems to be locked out. To be honest I cant be sure that this is the option to change/remove the Orange logo from the homepage, but there doesnt seem to be anything else close to it within the Menu. Any more ideas? An extreme option Ive heard is to get it Unlocked, but not sure if that will remove the logo..

If the option's ghosted out it sounds to me very much like they do...

If the option's ghosted out it sounds to me very much like they don't want you to fiddle with it. Heavens forbid you should forget which network you're on all of a sudden. The only thing I can suggest is firing off an email to Orange/ Samsung Customer Support and ask them how to do it... sorry! Dan@VJ.

Need a question answered! I have a samsung G600 and does anyone know how to add a set of contacts to a group? When i go into the group and click on "add" it just says "empty entry". The reason being I am a musician and would like to send the same text to my other 4 band members at once, rather than idividually. Also, is there any way of increasing the volume on the text alert? i did the same thing the default password to a samsung g600 is 00000000 failing that type in *#56658387# and it brings up a menu.....go to number 15 in the menu list - reset phone password and then its reset to the default 00000000, i just went to settings after and took the password off hope this helps
