Models Direct is definatley a con as i have been there before.The didn`t give me ANY work,for the whole 3 years i woz a member coz i didn`t send any pics in.I am now 12 and lukin 4 a new model agency.

well i hae been told not to go on models direct becuase it is a CON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who should i actully beileve ?. anyway you shouldn't have to page to be in the book;-))

The agencies iv listed below are NOT a con, BUT as with all agencies you pay for proffessional portfolio of photograghs which go into a book caled Spotlight which casting directors etc look through to see who will be or has the suitable enough look for the particular job. Most models are NOT just a pretty face, they have talents such as being able to sing, dance, act as they have been under agencies since childhood and learnt to do these things at drama schools with agencies attached. The life of a model is quite short and they need something to fall back on afterwards. This is why you see certain people in a film, in the pop charts, or also on the catwalk. Its not about being beautiful but having the certain "look" they are looking for, for a particular job, being tall, at least 5ft 8~to 5ft 10inches and expext to be unemployed alot of the time as though the job is well paid, work is not regular every day, every week or even every month unless you are a supermodel! This is why many end up working in a resturant/bar etc for most of the year just waiting for a "job" or call from the agency or to fund the costs of going to auditions etc.

whatever happens, dontn try for models@ or models direct both of these are cons, which don't find you ANY work, and they charge you ALOT.

NO NO NO!!!! MODELS DIRECT IS A CON!!! Any agency that asks for money is a con. Organisations like stage coach are slightly different. But Nevery pay a modeling agency an upfront fee as I have done it, you wont get work and you will loose alot of money! I promis you its a con. Please Please PLEASE DONT DO IT!!!

some agencies; sylvia young, truly scrumpsious, models one, stagecoach, all numbers can be got from directory enquries. you mst send in head and shoulders shot and full length shot with age, height etc.As said previously most start at drama school doing acting, singing dance and elocution lessons fom a very yong age. These drama schools usually have their own agency attached and you et sent on auditions from there. Costs vary but are normally paid termly. It is a very competetive world, some very pushy parents and spoilt, b***hy girls are common! You must be able to take regection as often happens at auditions many of which are like cattle markets of people from many different agencies all hoping to ge chosen for one part or one particular job. You could also join a "tv extras" agency where anyone can join whether fat, thin, young, old, pretty or ugly.
