I have a great chicken dish that is very easy and inexpensive to make. You will need: - a couple of breasts of chicken (1 for each person being fed) - butter - fresh garlic - olive oil. 1. Start by chopping up about 2 pieces of garlic for each breast of chicken. It doesn't need to be super finely chopped. Just pieces about 1-2 centimetres in length will be good enough. 2. Then place 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a frying pan (non stick is good but not necessary) and all the chopped garlic. Turn the heat on to medium and start frying the garlic. Don't need to fry it for very long, just a couple of minutes until the garlic pieces start "sweating". 3. Then add in about 1/4 cup of butter for each breast to breast and a half of chicken. Melt the butter. 4. While the butter is melting, use a sharp knife to cut the chicken breasts into strips about 3 inches in length. 5. Once the butter is melted, and is sitting with the garlic and olive oil, place the cut pieces of chicken into the pan and cover. Cook until one side is white and then flip (usually about 5 minutes per side.) You'll know they're done when you cut into a piece and it is white all the way through. 6. Once cooked, remove from heat and serve. If you have any garlic lovers, you can even put a few pieces of the now toasted garlic on their plates. As a simple tasty side, you can prepare some flavoured rice or regular rice that you flavour with chicken broth. If you have any questions, send me a message to aslam (at) 13thfloor dotcom. Enjoy!!

How about BBQ CHICKEN (sometimes called hickory chicken). Cook the chicken breast untill cooked through then lay some bacon on top untill bacon is cooked, then smother in bbq sauce and cheese, until melted its delicious, with a little salad and boiled potatoes.

Here is a very simple chicken starter. Dry lemon chicken. Tke 500gm of boneless chicken cut into small pieces. Now take a bunch of coriander, 10 garlic cloves, a piece of ginger, 2 green chillies,a cup of yougurt, salt to taste, garam masala(if u have) or black pepper and red chilli powder and juice of a lemon. Now grind coriander, garlic, ginger and chillies together and mix it in the yogurt with the rest of the ingredients. Now take the washed and cleaned pieces of chicken and put them in the yogurt mixture mix well. Now cover them and leave them in the refrigerator for an hour and a half. Now take a pan add 5 table spoon of oil put chicken pieces with the entire content in the heated oil and cook in low flame covered. Keep stirring at ocassional intervals. Now if the chicken is cooked and its still watery put it on high flame and let it dry. Serve with onions .

Lamb dish, Kashmir Lamb curry, you use mutton slow cooked in either a crock pot, or one of those claypots. Use saltanas for the fruit, a little sour cream/greek yoghurt. If you want the recipe just reply back. For the chicken, easy chicken and lentil and pumpkin or potato curry is good and filling. And theres always rice, papadams, yoghurt/cucumber and tomato dahl (i think thats what its called0 cools the mouth. Or you could do sticky rice balls to serve with it all, using glutinous rice. All you have to remember with a curry is my theory that it is like a stew of sorts. Put anything into it, don't worry how much meat is in it, as long as theres vege/lentils or beans then it fills it more
