So, he told you that he wants to marry you, but just not now? Did he give you a reason? I'm not sure what the kids have to do with it specifically. It's about the relationship between you and him. I think as well as you can, you need to figure out why he made this decision. Ask him. There may be a reason that makes sense to him. But,he may also have some concerns about the relationship. There may be things that you may not like to hear, but it would be good to hear to see if he is at all unhappy and it's something that can be worked through or if he's just completely irrational. Hopefully you have the communication to talk through that stuff. But, you are not powerless. I don't know if you live with him or take care of his kids, but its certainly understandable that you'd be very upset right now and taking some time away from the relationship for yourself is ok too. Go away for a week. He may have enough space to realize that you being gone feels lonely. Anyway, don't know enough of the situation.

Especially as they are HIS kids!!!! Please somebody, give me some guidance as to what I should do.
