i get very bloodshot eyes and have been recommened by a doctor to use lubricating drops as often as needed, these act like artificial tears. Alot of people have poor tear quality which leads to the eyes drying out and getting red. Drops which help with the reddness contain a vasoconstrictor and should not be used for a long period of time, i use them maybe once a day if my eyes are really red, but once you keep up with the lubricting drops it should really help

put eye drops (for red eye), on 2 cottonballs. stick it in the freezer for 5 mins. take them out and place them on your eye lids for 10mins. (this really does work).

when my eyes are blood shot i put cold cucumber over them this cools not only ur eye lids but around them also and visine red eyes works really good

eye drops, ice packs, frozen chamomile bags,, but most of all...loads of water and some zzzzzz.

just some soothing eye drops because if they're red, it usually means they're dry or irritated.
