If we wanted raw, unprepared food, we would go to the supermarket! The price displayed includes the preparation, the cooking and the washing up which is WHY we go out to eat.

whats the 15 to 20 dollors for then????? We are ALREADY paying for the food to be prepared and cooked and without us going to eat there, the staff would be out of a job

You dont have to tip AT ALL!! It depends on the service recieved and if service charges are included in your bill already. You are already paying for your food and the resturant hardly wants you to go into the kitchens to collect the food yourself!! You are giving the resturant bussiness by eating there and the resturant pay the staff, its not down to the customer and the staff have a cheek to EXPECT it.

a buck a person? Are you kidding me? So if you and your three friends go into say...a slightly pricier restaruant and you all order 15-20 dollar plates, along with prepping your salads, prepping and delivering your drinks and food and checking back to make sure you're okay after keeping you refilled and stocked with condiments and napkins, etc... your potentially 70-90 dollar ticket will only net that server 4 measly bucks?! I hope you never come to my restaurant.

Tipping customs differ in different countries, but 10-15% is considered the norm for good table service (unless service has been included in the bill). Why not watch our film? http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-tip-in-a-british-restaurant
