I had ACL surgery about 2 years ago... My knee is fine, and I can go back to playing sports, without any problems. I used my own patellar tendon for the reconstruction, and every time I get a more than gentle tap on my knee, it hurts... sometimes for days right around the area where my patellar tendon is... When will this stop happening? I cant even kneel down on that knee...

The most important thing after an ACL reconstruction is to obtain full range of motion. If you are missing even a small amount of knee extension, you create a torque across your patella and you will experience pain. If at this point you're stilll lacking knee extension, you probably have scar tissue in your knee which will require surgery to clean it up
