Looking for a great tasting gluten free pizza recipe? We show you how to make one, using cauliflower as the base.
1 cups (250ml) mozzarella
1/2 cups (120ml) Parmesan
2 free range eggs
1 1/2 tsp oregano
2 tsp minced garlic
1 fresh mozzarella ball
2 slices of Parma ham
1 red pepper, cut into strips
1 cups (250ml) tomato sauce
fresh basil leaves
STEP 1: PRE-HEAT THE OVEN
Preheat the oven to 220°C degrees Celsius. Once hot, pre-heat a baking sheet.
STEP 2: PREPARE THE CAULIFLOWER
Grate the cauliflower, then microwave it for 4 minutes. Once cooked, pour it out onto a tea towel, allow to cool, then roll the grated cauliflower up in the tea towel and wring out the water.
STEP 3: MAKE THE BASES
Add 1 cup of grated mozzarella, 1/2 a cup of Parmesan, 2 eggs, the oregano and the minced garlic to the grated cauliflower and mix. Season with salt and pepper and give it a final mix.
STEP 4: BAKE THE BASES
Mould the mixture into two pizza bases on a piece of greaseproof paper. Drizzle over olive oil and bake for 15 minutes.
STEP 5: ADD THE TOPPINGS
Top the pizzas with tomato sauce, the sliced mozzarella, the sliced peppers and the Parma ham, then return to the oven for a further 10 minutes. Once cooked, top with a few fresh basil leaves and serve.
