If Americans can have a distorted view of Russian culture, then Russia (Natalia Panferova)can also have a distorted view of American culture. I don't think Natalia Panferova's perception of what makes Americans happy is relevant to the actuality of what makes any culture happy. Further, perceiving other nations as "happier than you" only increases your unhappiness.
