However, a simple way to prevent disease is hand washing, and then making sure that before preparing food that you wash your hands thoroughly and that if you are in contact with someone who has a cold or some other infectious disease that you wash your hands thoroughly. And of course immunizations play a role in the prevention of the spread of infectious diseases. Then there's someone's general health status; getting enough sleep and having an adequate diet are both factors in improving our resistance to infectious diseases.
