Bridal Gown Measurements
How do I properly measure my bust for my wedding dress?
To properly measure your bust for your wedding gown, it is advisable to seek professional help. This professional help can either be from a larger department store, who have special bra-fitters available, or at your bridal salon, who have staff available. Typically, they can measure you properly for a bra. If you have to measure your own bust size, the thing to remember is keep the tape measure straight across your back, and measure the fullest part of the bust.
How do I properly measure my waist for my wedding dress?
To properly measure your waist for your wedding gown, always ensure the tape measure is straight and measure around the smallest part of you. Not typically where your jeans sit or where your belly button is, as that is too low. Your true waist is higher than your belly button.

Most wedding gowns are made for this size and anybody over this height or if you are slightly under this height but wish to wear high heels either perhaps 3 or 4 inches you will need extra length added to your gown.
