Why is Lindsay Lohan a celebutante?

Lindsay Lohan is considered a celebutant because along the way she lost her fame and became famous for the cameras. Last year we saw her battle a coke addiction, get in an accident, become a sloppy drunk, do coke on camera, have sex on camera. Become ridiculously thin, like she wanted to become a celebutant, she wanted to be as famous, and have as much publicity as Paris and Nicole. So she gave it up for her career, and she realized that it was the wrong thing to do. And really Lindsay makes as much money from being a celebutant as she did from being, you know, a b-list actress. She really does. She makes a lot of money from appearances and she knows that. That's why she was one of the first celebutantes to make deals with these photo agencies. She's the one who's carrying around quit smoking lozenges promoting these companies, she knows how to manipulate the press, but again it's got out of her hands and she lost control of it. She traded in her acting career, for a career as a Paris or Nicole, and that's when you lose it. Paris and Nicole were trying to trade in their cameras for an actual career. So these girls just ****** up. Basically they always want what they can't have. If they're talented, they want to be the party girl. If they're the party girl, they want to be the talented girl. You always want what you can't have, which is why we love them.

Do you think Lindsay has lost her acting career?

I think out of the four ‘celebutantes' - let's say Lindsay, Paris, Nicole, and Britney - Lindsay is the one who will make it out alive. I think she has the best chance because she has a legitimate acting talent. I think actresses have a better time of coming back because it's easier for them to manipulate the media because they are actresses. Pop stars, not so much.
