What is an out of school club?
An out of school club provides activities before and after school or sometimes in the school holidays, often bridging those difficult hours for parents between the end of work and the end of the school day. An out of school club will typically include sport, music, and craft activities. It can include some additional study support as well, but the emphasis is very often on being quite different to the normal school day.
What ages does an out of school club cover?
Out of school clubs provide care for children of school age, so they can be from 4 to 16, typically.
How much does an out of school club cost?
For a breakfast club, a session can be quite inexpensive, usually about a pound a day. For the afterschool session between 3:30 and 6, it will be between six and seven pounds typically.
