What should I consider when choosing an institution?

When considering an institution you might find it useful to think about things like finance, geographic location and the subjects that might be covered by different institutions. You may choose to, perhaps, contact universities about open days so that you can arrange visits to visit those locations and that may then help you make your informed choice.

Should I attend open days?

It is advisable and worthwhile to attend university open days, as this may assist you with familiarizing yourself with the university and location, and therefore help when choosing the university you wish to go to. You may also find it useful to meet current staff that are around students who are currently on courses. Additionally, attending open days creates an opportunity to have a look and view university accommodation, and to also find out any further information you require.
