Conspiracies In History
What are some conspiracy theories involving Pearl Harbor?
Well, there is one primary theory that Franklin Delano Roosevelt had advanced warning that the Japanese were going to invade Pearl Harbor - that they were going to bomb it to bits. There specifically, there were possibly as many as 28 warnings, but he did nothing to warn the military or to perhaps, evacuate the area, or set up extra defenses for one principle reason - he wanted us to enter World War II and he was not satisfied with the Lend-Lease program. (We were helping out England. He wanted us to fight the Nazis. The American public - totally against that.) So, possibly, knowing that Pearl Harbor was about to occur, he allowed it to occur, so that would galvanize the country into allowing us to enter World War II. And, I should point out, even though the Japanese attacked us, our main thrust was in the European Theater not the Pacific Theater. We basically defeated Germany beginning with D-Day in June of 1944. It wasn't for more than a year later that we actually conquered, or vanquished, Japan. So, you hate to think that a President would do that, sacrifice lives to help his own agenda, but that's a possibility.
What are some conspiracy theories involving President Lincoln?
There are alot of conspiracy theories involving President Lincoln. We all know that John Wilkes Booth assassinated President Lincoln at the Ford Theatre with the playing of Our American Cousin. But the question was, was he acting alone or part of a conspiracy. Two prominent individuals pop up. One is Vice-President Andrew Johnson, who was actually investigated as a possible co-conspirator, because obviously he would ascend to the Presidency. Another possibility is Edwin Stanton, the Secretary of War, who felt that Lincoln was too soft on the Confederates after the war. He wanted the South really brutalized and Lincoln was taking a softer stance. He certainly would have been an individual who would have had the connections to allow for this. It is argued that Ulysses S. Grant did not attend that production. Normally, Ulysses S. Grant was accompanied by a heavily-armed protective guard, and they would have prevented John Wilkes Booth from gaining access to President Lincoln. So the idea is that Stanton had arranged for Ulysses S. Grant to be elsewhere, not attend that, so his guard would not be there, to allow for John Wilkes Booth to be able to carry out the assassination. To point out an interesting side-bar to that, one report is that Grant's wife actually had a precognitive dream about disaster at the theatre, and actually encouraged her husband not to attend. But again, many theories about a conspiracy involving more than John Wilkes Booth in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln
What are some conspiracy theories involving Adolf Hitler?
Well of course, the idea is that Hitler committed suicide in the bunker and of course, to do an effective job that he wouldn't survive so that the allies could not bring him to trial. He first swallowed a poison and then shot himself and then his body was burned on his orders by his under links, but there are a number of inconsistencies. First of all the under links have reported the suicide varied in their descriptions of what had occurred. For example, one said he was shot in the mouth another said he was shot in the head. The body was burned beyond recognition so it could have been anyone. Hitler had at least six doubles who were at the bunker, he'd always been afraid of assassination so it might have been one of them who was actually killed and burned. And of course we know that other Nazis did escape such as Adolf Ickman and Dr. Joseph Mengalie so it's conceivable that Hitler set up this phony suicide and ultimately made his way to South America such as Argentine. Can't prove it because the forensic tests simply cannot determine who was there. However some bloodstains were found on a sofa in the bunker supposedly that of Hitler but they did not match his known blood type. So I think it's certainly a possibility that Hitler did not die by suicide in the bunker as reported.
What are some conspiracy theories involving Julius Caesar?
Well, Julius Caesar's case is, I think we'd say, unique. We know that he was assassinated at the Senate, stabbed possibly 26 different times. But the question is; how did this occur? Is it possible that Julius Caesar actually committed suicide indirectly? He had been suffering terrible spasms, or seizures, from epilepsy. Very embarrassed about this he could hardly function. He was depressed about this. He also apparently had rumors that an assassination attempt might be coming from at least two seers and possibly other sources. Yet on the day of his assassination he dismissed his Praetorian Guard, so he was unprotected. And just before that, he made out a new will naming Augustus, his grandnephew, as his successor. So it looks like he went into the Senate knowing he would be killed, and perhaps thought instead of dying a horrible death from epilepsy, let them kill him and he would go down in history because of this famous assassination. And that did indeed occur. His was the best known assassination until perhaps that of Lincoln and later JFK, but this helped secure his place in history. Would he have done that, well people who are suffering terrible physical ailments sometimes commit suicide. So in a sense, he may have conspired against himself, allowing himself to walk into a suicide attempt, which was successful.
