What is a deity in Everquest?
The deity in Everquest are beings who govern portions of the world. There are about 40 throughout the world of Warcraft, about 15 or 16 or them which players can choose depending in what race and class they are.
What affect does my character's deity have on the gameplay in Everquest?
In Everquest, the deity you choose dictates further down the line what items you can use, what spells you can get, and the way certain groups in the world react to you when you go to talk to them or attack them, as the case may be. Your deity invades all parts of the game for you.
What determines my character's deity?
When you're creating your character, you choose a race and class, and from those two pieces of information there's a range of deities you can choose from. So, in the end, it's your choice what your deity is in the world.
What effect does my character's gender have on the gameplay in Everquest?
There isn't any impact for how your character plays in the world. It's a persona that you create, so the gender is a large portion of that. People tend to choose things that they identify with.
What effect does my character's appearance have on the gameplay in Everquest?
There's no impact on the gameplay by your appearance. The character is something you're going to be playing for a long period of time in an MMO, so the appearance is important so that you are attached to your character, you identify with it, and you're able to play that role in the game.
What effect does my choice of server have on the gameplay in Everquest?
Every server's different in every quest. They all start out at the same place, but the environment, the world, the economy, it's all dictated by the players and each server is going to be different because it has different players on it.
