What are 'barbarians' like in the world of Everquest?
Barbarians are tall, muscular and hearty people who live in the North lands of Norath, known much for being more spiritual than people think, but for the most part they're a strong warrior race.
What are 'dwarves' like in the world of Everquest?
Dwarves are a short, stocky, sturdy race. They hail from a city called Kaladim on the continent of Faydwer. They love smithing, metals, gems, working in stone. They're known to be very loyal and fierce people and you don't want to cross them.
What are the 'erudite' like in the world of Everquest?
Erudites are a rare race of humans slightly changed from the human breed. They're smarter, a little more haughty, perhaps. They live in Erudon which is a city on the continent of Odus. They're known for their magical abilities. They're famous for teleportation. In fact, they use teleporters to get around their city. They work in marble for their city. It's a very white and pretty thing. They're also known for their libraries.
What are the 'froglok' like in the world of Everquest?
The froglok are a bipedal frog race, about the size of humans. They were created by Mithaniel Marr, and they have had a bit of a storied history. They've had to force the trolls our of their ancestral home in order to regain it. They are devout to Mithaniel Marr who created them. They are a friendly species to most other species.
What are 'gnomes' like in the world of Everquest?
Gnomes are short species. They are very intelligent. Known for having large noses, they live in a city called Akanon on Favare. They have a curious nature that gets them into trouble but also allows them to find things that other people don't. For example, they found the nest, and they have discovered Dragonscale Hills again, and their contribution is real small as they are, but very well known.
What are 'half-elves' like in the world of Everquest?
Half-elves are creatures that are both half elf and half human. Because of their racial diversity, they aren't really accepted in either society. This tends to make them wanderers. It also tends to make them take to crafts or skills, such as being a bard, so that travelling is what they do.
What are 'halflings' like in the world of Everquest?
Halflings are a short people, they live in a place called Rivervale. They are a very inquisitive, and some would say mischievous race. The god Bristlebane, who is their patron, also takes the form of a Halfling, so they're obviously very well associated with him. They've had a constant fight with the goblins in Runnyeye, so they built a wall between them and the goblin stronghold, that they almost worship like it's a being. Keeping the wall safe keeps them safe.
What are 'dark elves' like in the world of Everquest?
Dark elves look much like elves, in fact they are descended from elves, in a sort of twisted way. Their dark god, Innaruk, took their king and queen, and tortured and twisted them to create this new species. They live in the city of Narriak in the continent of Antonika, and they are one of the most motivated evil forces in the land.
What are 'humans' like in the world of Everquest?
Humans are a catch-all race. They run the gamut of all the good and evil and neutral classes in the Everquest game. They can be shadow knights as well as paladins, and just about any class that we have available. They've got multiple starting cities. They can either start in the city of Keynos or the city of Freeport, both of which are on the coasts, east and west, of Antonica.
What are the 'iksar' like in the world of Everquest?
The Iksar were part of one of the most powerful empires in Norrath, originally on the continent Kunark. The fall of the Sebilisian Empire left them shattered and stranded there, and a much weaker force than they were initially. They are generally an evil race. They worship the evil god Cazic-Thule, the god of fear. They're a scaled lizard like creature. They're basically reptiles that walk on two feet.
What are the 'ogre' like in the world of Everquest?
The 'ogres' are probably the strongest race in Everquest as well as the dumbest. They are a very war-like race, and at some point they felt that they could take over the planet Earth. And in doing so they failed and were cursed by the gods to be dumb forevermore. They tend to be war-like, classes in nature like warriors and shadow knights.
What are the 'trolls' like in the world of Everquest?
The trolls are very similar to the classic trolls from fantasy. They're very tall, lanky, and green. They have prominent features such as they are very ugly, and they've got the ability to regenerate more than natural regeneration, and they have the ability to see in the dark. The trolls in our game live in a town called Grobb. It's in the swamp just off Innothule, in the continent of Antonica. There was a point where the Frogloks, who were blessed by Mithaniel Marr, came into their town and ousted them from that town. And only recently were the trolls able to recapture their home and oust the Frogloks.
What are the 'wood elves' like in the world of Everquest?
What are the 'Vah Shir' like in the world of Everquest?
In Everquest, the Vah Shir are like cat people. They are bi-pedal. There are several different looks to the Vah Shir. They can look like a Siamese cat, a leopard, or a lynx. They live on another planet. They live on the Moon of Leflen. During a battle between the Vah Shir and the Arudites, they were basically blown off the planet and sent up to the moon. They built a city there called Sharvale. They don't worship a traditional god in the Everquest pantheon, and so in that, they are very different than the other races.
What are the 'Drakken' like in the world of Everquest?
What are 'high elves' in the world of Everquest?
High elves in Everquest are similar to the other elf races, like the half-elves and the dark elves. When the elves were chased off of their home on Antonica, they came to Fadewir and they basically split into two different unique races. The more earthy and nature like wood elves went one direction, and the more refined and intelligent high elves went in a different direction. They built a great city made of marble on their continent. They study magic, they have paladins, they have warriors, they have clerics, and a variety of other noble and powerful races. One of the feature characters and most important in our storylines since the beginning is Firiona Vie who tends to be on the box cover of most of our games.
