What should I consider when getting dressed for a first date?
So when you're getting dressed for a date it is a very exciting time and certainly one that you should have a lot of fun with. What you want to do is show off what you love about most about yourself. Let's say you love your shoulders - maybe you show off with a boat neck top. You love your neck - show off a V-neck. Maybe you have a larger bust line that you want show a little bit of, so wear a V-neck that comes down just enough to say "Hello and I'm here!" In terms of the don'ts, you don't want something totally inappropriate and says "I will sleep with you tonight". You don't want something too mini, too short, too tight, or too ill-fitting. So really just stick to what you love best about yourself and accentuate that.
Are jeans a do or a don't on a first date?
I think that when it comes to Jeans, we are wearing them to events now when they are the correct dark wash, because they can be used as a dressed up look. So take in consideration where you're going, and if it's someplace like the movies, or a bar, or, you know, some place fun like that, you want to keep it to a dark wash denim, possibly with a little heel to give your butt a little boost, and something that you can really pair with a fun, flirty top. You don't want to be wearing anything with holes, anything that you'd wear on a Saturday for fun with your family, stick to just something that is clean, proper, but still sexy, and age appropriate.
What types of tops are appropriate for a first date?
I think an appropriate top for a first date is something that is really well fitted. Certainly something that shows a little bit of mystery just like the silhouette of your body. But not something that gives away too much. So stay away from so much cleavage but maybe stick with something that just says 'I know what I've got under here'.
What tops are a first date don't?
On the first date, for a top, you don't want to be wearing a bando top, you don't want to be wearing a spandex top, nothing that your boobs are just spilling out of, don't be wearing any type of belly baring top. Really stick to something that says, "I respect myself, and I'm here for fun and to have a good time, but not too good of a time."
Are skirts a do or a don't on a first date?
I think for a first date, a great skirt would be great, although there are so many to choose from. I think a circle skirt would be a great choice. I think an A-line would be perfect, even a cute sundress that would be fitted to show off the silhouette would be perfect. You want to stay away from minis, I think, because it just shows a bit too much on the first date. You can leave that one for the second.
