Over-supplementing can do just as much harm as vitamin deficiencies, and good dog food already has complete nutrition. Grr.
Talk to your vet before you take the nice internet lady's word for granted, kthx.

She is not tell you why to go to different foods.Kibble can be okay.I like Ultra Mix by Castor Pollux. Raw can be good to.There are many more varieties avalable. Stay away from many of the major brands that are advertised heavily on TV, Most have too much corn, preservatives and glutens in it. The first few ingredients should be real food not by products, by products can be anything from duck bills to chickenfeet and animal poop. (Shown on the label as animal digest) Yep, it is true just start looking at the labels... and look at many sites, do some research...commercial companies are not doing us any favors with our pets.

I've been told chicken bones aren't good for dogs...but are raw chicken bones ok?
