Getting A Hairpiece
How much does a hairpiece cost?
Well, a hairpiece can run anywhere from $500 to $1,500. It depends on the amount of hair you are getting. It depends on the mold you are getting. It just depends on the length of the hair and the thickness of the density that your are getting hair, because they are handmade and the more hair your are putting in them, the more we are going to charge for it.
What's a 'hair system'?
A good hair system is a good system that when people look at you they don't know that you're wearing a hair system. It looks good, it matches the color of your hair, it matches the density of your hair. The hair line is very important, it looks natural, the hair looks like it's coming out of your scalp, not coming out of some material that's sitting on your head. In determining to get a good hair system it's also a good system that you can run your fingers through it, or somebody else would run their fingers through it and they won't feel that you're wearing anything, so we do have those skin basis hair system where they're really thin, and when people look directly to your scalp they cannot tell you're wearing a hair piece.
Can I swim or shower with my hairpiece?
It depends on what kind of hairpiece your getting. If you are going to get a hairpiece that is made for that, then you could do that. We do like to sell those consistent, because we want people to be freely to do what they do in the basic life everyday. So we do recommend to get those hairpieces that they can swim and shower with them and we also have the right adhesive to put in to them so there not going to come off when you swim or shower.
If I'm active in sports, will a hairpiece work for me?
Yes it can, we do have a bond that we bond the system into your Hair. It's a surgerical adhesive where we put it directly on your head and it could last anywhere between four weeks and six weeks. And you can swim, shower and do all the activities you guys like.
How long will it take to get a quality hairpiece?
When a client comes in, first of all we have to make a mould to his head. And the mould, on everybody's head is different, so the mould will be different to each person. And that takes about 15 to 20 minutes to make it. And after we do the mould we take a sample of the hair on the side of his head, hair that's in the back of his head because the colour sometimes, is not the same. Sometimes it's darker in the back and lighter on the side and then we have to blend that to the system that we're going to put on his head. We have to make sure he has a natural hairline. We have a little bit of receding hairline. You cannot have a straight hairline because it doesn't look natural. Then we take the texture of his hair to make sure, if his hair is wavy, we have to order wavy, if it's straight we order it straight. If the client is Caucasian, he cannot get a Chinese hair, he has to get European hair. If the client is an Asian, you have to get Asian hair. You cannot mix either one. Plus, on the hair system, if you do put the hair into the system, you have to put it in the same direction you took it out of the other human because you're going to cause a lot of tangles if you're not going to put it in the same direction. Because the hair grows like a cactus. If you take that hair and reverse it and put it on the system, two weeks later you're going to get a lot of tangles. So, good hairpieces don't get tangles. So, we have to inject the hair in the same direction, coming out of your head into the system then you're not going to have those tangles.
How long does a hairpiece last?
Well, hairpieces last anywhere between eight months to a year, but it all depends. If the person is very active and likes to swim a lot, the hairpieces will deteriorate a lot faster because it's human hair. Human hair does get split ends. I would say about eight months to a year.
How many hairpieces do I need?
Everybody definitely needs two hairpieces. The reason is because if one of them needs hair nets you need a backup system, something that you can wear in the meantime. So I would definitely recommend for people to get a second hairpiece.
