Why does marriage scare men?
Why does the word marriage scare so many women? It goes both ways, because women are always thinking the word marriage scares men but marriage scares a lot of women. Some men are not ready to be married yet; some men aren't there yet. Maybe they're in their twenties, you know, and they haven't experienced enough. But yet the woman wants to get married and she forces the marriage talk on the guy, which in turn forces the relationship. You know what, bring up marriage and if the guy doesn't break into a hot sweat and break into psoriasis you're ok. But the fact is some guys just aren't ready for it, they're not emotionally there yet. So you have to make a decision whether or not you want to continue down the path of this relationship with a guy that may or may not be ready for marriage.
When a guy says he never wants to get married, does he really mean it?
Yes. When a guy says he doesn't want to get married, he means he doesn't want to get married. If he tells you that on date number one, or date number two, or date number three and you choose not to listen to it because that is such a woman thing to do, not listen, "I'm going to change him, I'm going to change him, he's going to want to marry me, I'm going to change him." No you're not. If the guy is 45 years old and he says he doesn't want to get married, he probably doesn't want to get married. So you've got to decide whether you want to go down that road. If the guy is 25 years old, he doesn't know what he's all about anyway. So the chances are he probably does want to get married, but he's not ready to get married right now. So its your determination whether you want to go further down the road in that relationship. But don't think you're changing us because I know I'm not going to change you.
