Hair Care For Men

Robert Steinken (Celebrity Hairstylist) gives expert video advice on: How can men determine the right haircut?; What are the biggest 'hair don'ts' for men?; How can men cover their gray hair? and more...

How do men's hair care needs differ from women's?

Men generally have shorter hair styles therefore that requires a little more maintenance. You are going to need to cut their hair generally three, four weeks. I always think it is a good idea not to overuse products. You should not look like a 1950's greaser.

What products work well for male hair?

Some men do not want their hair to look like it has much product it at all. Therefore you are going to want to go with just a little conditioning spray, spray a little shines, spray to finish it off. If you want more body in you hair, you have fine hair, you want some things can make it a little bit thicker, use a thickening styling spray. If you blow-dry your hair, you are going to want to use something with a little bit conditioning in it, some things to protects your hair from the heat and then finish it off, generally with just a little serum, keeps a little shine to the hair or little oil-spray, but do not over-used the product.

lol I love this. It's about time someone spoke up against too much product in the hair. Looks horrible on men and women. The only time it comes in handy is if you need to give your car a lube job... just squeeze out all that guck from your buddy's hair! Gross! As for fashion... like good taste, some people have it and some don't. Everyone's tastes are different. That's what makes it an interesting world. But stubbornly refusing to accept constructive (key word "constructive") criticism just translates to immaturity and keeps you from looking your best. We don't all have to be clones in our appearance... but the rock star look didn't look good even on the rock stars... they only got away with it because of the thrill of the 'rebellious' nature of it (and how it freaked out the parents sometimes). High school's over... try to look like a normal human being... gets you farther in the real world.

His advice is not good, becasue he seeing it from a fasion point of view, and am sorry but were grown ups and should choose our own hair styles like we shouls choose are own clothes. Secondly by hiar is longish and like the rock star look and you have to remember that many people have different tastes, so in my opionon go with what you want when you look in the mirrow and not have someone design you to the liking. and Hey the greaser hiar style was the best look and not the boring hair he has
