How To Act When You Get Brought To The Police Station In Custody
Andrew Moxon (Solicitor) gives expert video advice on: What should I do when I get to the police station?
What should I do when I get to the police station?
When you arrive at the police station you will be told that you have three rights. In my advice you should certainly exercise two of those rights straight away. The first right you will be told about at the police station is that you have the right to speak to a free, independent solicitor at any time while still in the police station. You should ask to speak to a solicitor. If you do not have your own solicitor then the police will provide a duty solicitor for you. This advice is free of charge and is valuable and you should exercise that right. The other right you should exercise when at the police station, if you wish, is to have somebody notified that you are arrested.
