Then you insert the denture and hold it in place, so that the adhesive takes. If you are going to use a paste adhesive, you are also going to place a little bit of it, so you have a thin film, between the denture and your tissues. If you get a thick film, the adhesive is going to slide upon itself and not be very good. The plastic adhesives where you heat something up and place it in the denture using as a liner, it can also be used. If you have an ill fitting denture, it probably is the best solution for you.
