There are a number of ways. First of all, is it safe from an all hazards standpoint? In other words, are there obvious fire hazards there, is the university, head residents, students and others taking care of the place? Are fire extinguishers in place, and are there either hazards or a lack of safety equipment that should be there? How is the physical security in terms of real practice? You know a lot of times we see where access control isn't really working that well, often because students maybe haven't been educated on how they need to play a part in access control. And then you have to look at the overall environment of the campus itself. How safe is the campus outside of your dorm? The building is just one layer of the safety that you should be provided as a student.
