How can I attract potential customers and clients?
Now you are talking about your marketing strategy to attract people. To let them know that you are there and let them know that you will continue to be there. There are all sorts of ways of marketing. First of all people, I suppose, think about a mail shop. And that is a good way of marketing particularly if you are going out to other people. Selected or targeted mail shops are the best. If customers come to you then flyers or leaflets that you can distribute in all sorts of ways. That is a very good marketing tool as well. If you are in a craft based business well then probably trade shows and exhibitions may well be the right thing for you. Of course there is your own website but don't put that up until you have got something to put on it. You can advertise in the local paper. And don't forget your local parish magazine or indeed the post office. But I think one of the best ways of marketing, letting people know you are there, letting them know about your product or service is networking. I have done a lot of networking in business clubs and so on and it really does pay off.
