How can I be confident without coming across as cocky?

The best way to demonstrate your confidence is to be in control of the interview questions that you're asking and have some kind of structure from your end of the interview. Remember, the interviewer needs to go through a certain process and ask you questions that they need to get answers to that are relevant to the role. You need to fulfill those answers in a clear and concise way. Some of the more confident things that you might want to ask are: "Would you mind if I had a look at where I might be working? Can I go and meet some of the people that I might be working with?" Or, "Where do we go next from here at the end of the interview process?" What you're doing, really, is you're taking control of the interview, but in a very professional, very rehearsed, and very, very precise way.
