How can I learn to be patient with lines?

I often think that I always pick the line where the person wants to pay with a check, or the person, you know, has an item that isn't priced. And they got to go to the back of the store to find out what the price is. And, you know, but instead of standing in that line and (growling noise) and getting upset within yourself--try to just chill out. You know, try to think about something else: think about what you're going to have for dinner that night, or think about a friend. Or talk to someone else in line with you; I often strike up a conversation with the person standing next to me, you know. There are ways of waiting in lines that don't have to be, just you know, stewing, and fretting, and getting angry.
