There are a lot of things that you can do to deal with a painful breakup. First of all, you need a support system. Whether it's a therapist, or whether it's a mental health professional to help you deal with that depression that you're going to go through or that emotional pain or the ups and downs. You need somebody to talk to. Secondly, you need to do things. You need to do things that you've never done before. You need to keep busy. Then you need to have an exercise program. If you do things physically, you can get the endorphins going. It'll make you feel a lot better. And finally, don't beat yourself up. It's not your fault. It just happened. There are a lot of fish in the sea and you will catch another one.
