How do I choose the right bicycle for my child?

I always ask the father or the mother, "Is this child very supportive, is this his first bike? Does he have a bike already, that he loves to destroy?" When I was a child, I destroyed bikes as a boy. Most boys don't - they're not abusive. You could have a type of child that relaxes, enjoys riding, and then you could have a type of a child who's into it, who might want to jump things, instead of relaxed riding. Those are the types of questions I ask customer. If this is a child's first bike, I'll show them a good entry level bicycle, and then you have the other type of bikes, like a BMX, which is a little bit more hardcore.
