How do you go about choosing a partner in beach volleyball?

Choosing a partner in beach volleyball can be easy, and it can be difficult. What you look for is somebody who compliments your skills. If I'm a great blocker, I want somebody who's a good defensive player in the back court, and vice versa. You also want to find somebody that has all the skills of the game just like you do. If there's a weakness, then that weakness is going to be exploited. You want to find a partner that can pass, can set, can attack and can do everything. You want to make sure that on your team there are no weaknesses and you compliment each other on defense.
