What are expenses, and how do I claim them?
Expenses are those costs incurred by an employee as a direct result of fulfilling their contractual obligations to their employer. Examples of expenses are: mobile phone expenses, if you've been calling a client, or travel expenses, if you have had to travel to a meeting. The way to claim them back will really be set out in your contract of employment. It is really worth checking out how you do that. This may be by having to fill out an expense form and keeping your receipts.
