How do I create an "executive summary"?

With a business plan, there's a lot of different theories about how to cerate an executive summary. One is finish the whole thing and then write the summary. The other is writing the executive summary up-front as it tells you what to focus on. As I say, you pay your money, you take your choice. I'm not sure one is better than another. What you want to cover in the executive summary though is the opportunity. Make sure that people understand what the opportunity is, what it's going to cost to get into it, how long it's going to take to get there, and why you're going to win. Those, I think, are the main points in the executive summary. You want to do this as an overview, and you want to do it in a page or less. In that sense, the shorter the executive summary, the better.
