How can I customize my ceremony?

Wedding ceremonies can be customized in many different ways. The most common is the bride and groom will write their own vows, and the clergy or the officiant will take those vows and use them as part of the ceremony, or the couple will actually speak them to each other, as opposed to having the clergy do it. I've had a couple with a Wiccan wedding ceremony; it was beautiful and very nature-oriented. We had couples bring in parts of their traditions from their different cultural backgrounds, so you can use that to customize your wedding ceremony. It should be customized if you can because each person in the union brings something special to that, and it's nice to bring that into the ceremony.
