How can I decide how big my wedding cake should be?

The size of your wedding cake is usually determined by how many guests you have. According to that number, your wedding cake designer will design a cake, whether it's three tier or four tier. For an example, if you have 150 guests, that to me says that you would probably have a minimum of three tiers. Usually, the rule of thumb for a guest is one slice and the slice is approximately about three inches by two. That should serve one person taking about three to five bites of the cake.
