How can I determine when to throw away or donate an item of clothing?

When you're going through your closet and you'd like to get rid of some stuff, possibly donate, you want to look for the items that first and foremost you haven't worn in a year. If you haven't worn it in a year get rid of it, that's is the golden rule. I even say if you haven't worn it in six months get rid of it. But that's what you want to start with, those items. Get rid of the one's you're not wearing or don't care about or forgot about or still have tags on, whatever. Then you want to move to the things that are torn, ripped, so old that they've worn or just have no life left in them. If they look just stale and limp like old lettuce, just get rid of the clothes. And you might not even want to donate those pieces. Those might just be left for kitchen rags.
