What can I do to ease my pain during childbirth?

To ease your pain during childbirth, it's probably a good idea to take classes. As we touched on this earlier, there are various techniques; Lamaze, Bradley, and such. You can take these classes to help you guide yourself through the labour experience. There are breathing techniques and pressure points; acupuncture. There's heat that you can use in various parts of your body, there are tubs you can sit in, and showers you can sit in; various things that you can do to try and relieve yourself from pain. Of course, when you get to the hospital, the nursing staff and the physicians will offer you various medical treatments. There are pain medications that you can get in the IV, or you can get them in the muscle. You can also get an epidural, or a spinal, which can provide great relief almost immediately.
