How To Ensure Your Child's Safety During Day Care
Ward Leber (CEO) gives expert video advice on: How do I ensure my child's safety during day care?
How do I ensure my child's safety during day care?
Well, the only way to ensure your child's safety while they're at day care is to be there 24 hours a day. I mean, there's no magic bullet for that. You have to try to do as much prevention as you possibly can. You need to make sure the environment is safe, and to make sure that there aren't any dangerous things around. The most dangerous thing that will be around kids at most of the day care centers are the other kids. So you're going to need to pop in. You need to find out what other children are interacting with your kids. Find out whether there's someone there that might act out. A lot of kids injure each other, you know, they get into fights, or they accidentally hurt each other. Even though the day care providers try to stop it, the reason they call them accidents, is because they're unplanned problems that happen. I would often go back into the day care center unannounced, and sit with your kids, if you can, and find out what kind of environment it is.
