You would extend your visa by making an application to the Home Office. You'd need to complete an application form and clearly set out what your circumstances are and why you need to have the extension of stay. An extension of stay would be granted to you in most cases, with the exception of you as a visitor. If you're in the United Kingdom as a visitor and you remain for up to six months, it's not possible to extend beyond that period.
