What is an application form and how do I fill one in?

You may find that you spend quite a lot of time putting together a very professional, very straight forward, very simple looking CV. However, a lot of employers will actually send you an application form or, indeed, you may have one sent to you online that you have to complete by email. The idea of this is, the employer has specific questions about A, your employment history, and B, your educational history. They're looking for certain key points. Most of the information that they want can be gleaned from your CV straight away. However, they may have other questions like, "Why have you applied for this role?" "What are your aspirations in life?" There may be general questions that they would include at the end of that questionnaire. By all means follow the process. This is merely a system that is set in place by employers for them to help with their decision making process.
