How can I fortify my windows and glass doors against predators?
A burglar will simply look around the perimeter of your home and look for doors that are unlocked. They'll look for doors with glass in them that they can break out and enter. Choosing a door of substantial quality is a good first step toward home security. If you have glass in your door, there is the option of putting a laminate material in there. Laminate is a sheet of plastic that prevents the glass from being shattered very easily. With sliding doors, it would be wise to have secondary devices that prevent the door from being slid open. One of the best ways to achieve this is to go out and buy a piece of inexpensive dowel, which you can buy from any hardware store, and install that. This will prevent the door from being slid open. Fortifying your home needn't be expensive and there are lots of methods you can take that don't break the bank.
