How To Get A Copy Of Your Credit Report
Janet Bodnar (Deputy Editor, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance) gives expert video advice on: How can I get a copy of my credit report?
How can I get a copy of my credit report?
Under law, you are actually entitled to a free copy of your credit report every year from each of the three credit bureaus. You go to a website called www.annualcreditreport.com and you can request a free credit report. Now what we at Kiplinger recommend is that you request one copy of your report from each of the credit reporting agencies over the course of the year. So in other words, every four months or so you can get a different copy of your credit report from a different agency. That way, over the course of the year, you can make sure that everything is exactly as it should be, and you can see whether all the reports agree and if there are any mistakes in the credit reports.
