The way to exit a problem is either find the easiest way off the backside, perhaps there's something like a scramble or a class three that's going to be easy to get down on the back side of your problem. If there isn't then you are either going to have to down climb the same problem you came up which is actually really excellent practice because it will give you a lot of technique. Or you need to grab your friends and get all your pads together and jump off.
