How To Get Into A Homework Routine When Falling Behind At School

Carly Raby (Participation Manager) gives expert video advice on: How can I get into a homework routine?

How can I get into a homework routine?

I think the most important thing about getting into a homework routine is to get a real sense of balance in your everyday life, so that means making sure that when you come back from school you've got some time to unwind. After seven hours of sitting, trying to work all day, and really using your brain, you need a bit of time just to switch off; whether that's watching TV or walking the dog, or whatever you want to do, and also a bit of time to talk about your day. Have something to eat and something to drink and then make sure that you've still factored in enough time to sit down and really get on with your homework before dinner and before the day unwinds. It's important to have a real sense of time so you have an hour to unwind and relax, an hour for homework, and then you stop doing any work and have dinner with your family and relax; it's really important.
