How can I get out of a contract with my estate agent?

If your estate agent is not doing a good job and you want to get out of the contract, most estate agents aren't particularly good at confrontation, so their contract with you will actually state that you can't get out. Personally I would always ask your estate agent whether they happen to acquiesce and move on. My experience is that most estate agents will say yes and simply let the contract lapse.
