Negotiating the asking price is what you're employing your estate agent to do, and I think you need to leave your estate agent to do it. I do think you somehow need to be a little bit tougher than you might think you need to be. The, particularly English, mentality is to accept the first or second offer you've made. All buyers have three offers in them. They'll make one offer, a low offer, they'll increase it substantially, and then increase it a little bit further. So unless you've had those three offers, don't accept them.
