If a character becomes popular, that's the time to sell that particular character. Obviously the better you can hold the grade of a comic book, the more money it will likely be. The longer you can hold the comic book for it's age, the more likely the value will be. Again it depends on the era of the comic book youre talking about. That doesnt necessarily play to a book from the 1980s versus the book from the 1950s. But the key is you have to be strategic in understanding what it is that you are holding. You do your research, and it's all about education. Invest time, not just money, but invest time into understanding what it is you possess, the character, the title, the age, the grade and past realized prices of your comic book. That will enable you to determine fair market value, that will enable you determine the sales price, that will enable you to determine how to achieve the best price when selling your comic book.
