How you get work experience hairdressing is being associated with a school or a college, and you ask them if you can have work experience. And they will contact a hairdressing salon, like myself, and they will ask if it's okay to send a young girl or boy down for a day's training, or work experience, or a week's experience. We take about 10 a year in our salon. But most hairdressing salons take work experience because it's how you learn, or one way of you learning. And hairdressers are quite good at giving back what they've learned and trying to help young people grow up in the industry that they've hopefully been successful in.
